What is a Coach Mentor?

A Coach Mentor is an internal champion with two primary roles:

  1. Capacity Builder: Equipping supervisors to use The Coach Approach in daily interactions.

  2. Cultural Advocate: Modeling partnership and "letting others hold the pen" as authors of their own decisions.

 

Note: This is not a new job title or a position requiring extra pay; it is a way of being integrated into existing leadership roles.

The 8-Month Journey

A comprehensive certification through the Kagen Leadership Group.

  • Individual Coaching: 1-on-1 sessions to sharpen high-level coaching skills.

  • Skill Development: Master the Core Principles: Focus, Exploration, Understanding, and Partnership.

  • Community of Practice: Quarterly 1-hour sessions for collaboration and shared learning.
